This week’s Sample Spotlight features a Laura Mercier Face Scrub, I haven’t tried many Laura Mercier products before the only other product I can remember trying is a Mascara which I also received in a Birchbox.
I love face scrubs, I have an obsession. I love the feeling of washing away the dead skin cells and having a beautifully smooth base to apply my make-up onto!
Laura Mercier is a high-end makeup and skincare brand, so when I received a sample in a Birchbox to try, I was thrilled, as I didn’t want to pay full price for something and risk hating it when the products are SO expensive.
The sample size was generous, I’ve used it 4-5 times now, and I still have some left and for an 11.3g bottle that’s good going in my opinion.
The full size, however, is 100g and costs £26.00 here (Yikes!), and I do think that’s super expensive for a face polish, but nevertheless I still tried it out as I wasn’t losing anything if I didn’t like it.
The scrub is very fine, very creamy but still feels like it’s doing something when you work it into your skin. It’s not harsh at all, and you could use this every day without having any irritation.
I have noticed a difference in my skin being less dry and flaky, but I don’t know if I can justify £26.00 on a face scrub!?
Would I repurchase this? Maybe if I was feeling spendy!
I rate this 4/5 – minus one point due to the cost of the full size.
